Celebrate Banned Books week by going to Clemens & Alcuin
Library’s Facebook page (facebook.com/csbsjulibraries)!
Images of banned books will appear daily. Give us the correct name of the book
and you will automatically be put into our daily drawing for great “banned”
prizes! Each day a different image will appear so you several chances to
win throughout the week! (You must be currently enrolled at CSB/SJU to participate.)
Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom
to read. It highlights the value of free and open access to information. The
books featured during Banned Books Week have all been targeted with removal or
restrictions in libraries and schools. While books have been and continue to be
banned, part of the Banned Books Week celebration is the fact that, in a
majority of cases, the books have remained available.
Think you know your banned books? Give it a try!
