Birds of North America

From 1992-2002 a joint effort of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, American Ornithologists Union, and Academy of Natural Sciences produced a monumental reference work on the 716 species of birds in North America. We own this in print in Alcuin Library. Time marches on, however, and in 2005 an online version of the database was made available. Today we are officially subscribers to this online version, and have campus-wide access to the entire database.

So enjoy the birding season and please make use of this new resource to help you out!

Note especially the contribution (Verdin, #470) by CSBSJU's own Marcus Webster, Biology Department.
